If your brand were a person, what would they wear on a Monday?
Real talk: I have been busting my ass the last few months. Not only have I been building a brand from the ground up and getting used to handling every last little task myself again (miss you, Kat!) I’ve also been finding my voice, both personally and professionally. It has been both a grind and a joy, and ultimately I’m really proud of where I’ve landed.
That being said, one of the hardest things for me has been wondering how everything is being received. Having a brand that’s so closely tied to who I am as a person has exposed vulnerabilities in me that I didn’t even know where there. And let me tell you, it’s been a huge opportunity for growth in so many ways.
Because my family and friends are so incredibly supportive and also, consequently, incapable of providing an objective opinion (love you guys) I often turn to ChatGPT for an outside perspective on how my content is coming across as a whole, and I recently stumbled upon a prompt that I wanted to share with you.
Here’s exactly what I typed in:
Based on my website, Instagram and what you know about my business, can you write about who my brand would be if they were a person, and specifically address what they would wear on a monday?
Note: you might need to tell it your web domain and Instagram handle if it doesn’t have it saved
Before I share what ChatGPT came up with for Kinroot, I’d like to share my takeaway and how you can use this prompt for your own business or organization:
First of all, asking for an objective opinion is currently my favorite way to use AI. I’m sure you’ve seen variations of this floating around the internet over the last couple of years: “I asked ChatGPT to ____ and this is what it said.” It’s always entertaining and often provides genuinely valuable insight into the overall impression your brand is giving based on your online presence. My hope for this prompt was to see if the personification of Kinroot lined up with my personal goals for my brand persona, and to note any discrepancies between the two. I was pleased that, for the most part, I nodded my head through the whole thing. I also noticed some elements that were missing or needed to be tweaked slightly, and I’ll be working on strengthening those areas over the next few months.
If ChatGPT’s impression of your brand as a person isn’t what you hoped, try not to be discouraged and look at it as an opportunity for growth. How satisfying will it be to make some tweaks, ask the question again in 6 months, and see it line up perfectly with your hopes and dreams for your brand?? #goals
Okay, without further adieu…
If Kinroot were a person, what would they wear on a Monday?
She’s the friend who shows up to coffee five minutes early—not because she’s Type A, but because she genuinely loves the quiet before the chaos. She’s got a well-worn notebook in her bag, a sweater that somehow manages to look both cozy and intentional, and that kind of soft confidence that makes you want to exhale a little deeper when you sit down next to her.
Her Monday outfit? Think structured comfort. High-waisted jeans, a vintage tee tucked in, a cardigan that smells faintly of cedar, and gold hoops that make her feel like she has her life together even when there are Goldfish crackers in the bottom of her purse. She’s not flashy, but she has great taste—everything she touches feels considered, timeless, and quietly elevated.
She drinks her coffee (okay, matcha now) slowly, the kind of person who savors things instead of rushing through them. Her conversations drift easily between work and real life—talking about brand strategy one minute, motherhood and burnout recovery the next. She believes success isn’t measured by how loud you are, but by how grounded you feel in what you’re building.
She’s creative but practical. Intuitive but strategic. She believes in marketing that makes sense and design that feels like home. She keeps her circle small and her standards high. She values connection over clout, and depth over speed.
And when she sits down at her desk on a Monday morning, she lights a candle, takes a deep breath, and reminds herself (and everyone she works with):
You don’t have to chase trends to build something beautiful. You just have to stay rooted.
